My house smells so amazing right now! I have baked oatmeal cooking in the oven. I can’t wait to dig in soon. It’s 100% vegan and gluten free. I’m happy to share the recipe if anybody wants it.

I floated in the pool this morning with some friends. We had a nice time. I have been having some serious float malfunctions. I have a couple and none of them really seem to work for me but they do work for my friends. Being short stinks sometimes!

Today my friend and I are planning on going to check out a Vegan State Fair. I have never been to a vegan festival. I’m looking forward to it.

Well, there is not much else to report. Come back tomorrow for another post.

Saturday September 4, 2021

Happy Saturday! Around 2:30 this morning I woke up after having a VERY strange dream. I told one of my really good friends about it. She helped me see the big picture of the dream and the meaning behind it. With that being said, I am tired but am not going to take a nap! If I take a nap I will not sleep tonight. I definitely want to sleep tonight.

Since Rosh Hashanah is just around the corner I have decided to tell my followers/readers a little about the holiday.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is a time to reflect on what has transpired the past year while praying for a healthy and happy new year. This year, Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown Monday, September 6th. On Rosh Hashanah, we eat apples dipped in honey and wish each other a sweet new year. Apples, a sweet fruit and a symbol from the Garden of Eden are paired with honey to add more sweetness to the year we pray G-d will grant us. Apples and honey together or said to bring more joy, health, and happiness for the year to come. We also eat pomegranates to have a year filled with as many merits as the fruit has seeds. A pomegranate has 613 seeds to be exact. All the seeds represent all the commandments of the Torah.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about Rosh Hashanah. Come back tomorrow for another post.

TGIF! I am really looking forward to an extra long weekend! I don’t have to go back to work until Thursday. My plans are to lay low, maybe float in the pool, ride my spin bike, do yoga, craft, and live stream Rosh Hashanah services. There is no way I am going to synagogue with hundreds of people right now. Even though masks are mandatory at our synagogue I am staying home!

I am currently sandwiched between my friends dogs. I have had a crazy day and petting her dogs is calming me down. I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it 100 more times dogs are so amazing!

There is so much going on at school right now. I’m trying to process everything. However, I’m sticking to one of my new favorite sayings “not my circus not my monkey”.

Well, I am going to continue to unwind and not think about all the crazy stuff that happened this week.

Come back tomorrow for another post.

Thursday September 2, 2021

I’m currently sitting on my friends patio surrounded by her doggies. There’s a storm rolling in. Her patio is a great place to watch storms.

I am so happy that tomorrow is Friday! I’m really looking forward to an extra long weekend. Not only am I off for Labor Day, I am also off Tuesday and Wednesday because it’s Rosh Hashanah. For those of you that are not familiar Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year. One of my future posts is going to be all about Rosh Hashanah and the other upcoming Jewish holidays.

So last night we had our virtual open house for school. All of my students parents showed up except for one. The one parent that did not show up, her child has been in my class for three years, so she knows how I run a classroom and knows a lot about Montessori. All the parents seemed extremely happy and only had nice things to say. Even though I was highly annoyed about a certain situation, I put on a poker face and pushed through the 40 minute event.

Tomorrow I have requested to have a meeting with my head of school. I was going to stay and talk to her today, but she told me she wasn’t in a good headspace this afternoon and would prefer to wait until tomorrow.

Well, I am going to go enjoy my friends fur babies and then go and work on my friends birthday present.

Come back tomorrow for another post.

Wednesday September 1, 2021

Happy hump day! Also, I can’t believe it’s September! Hopefully, the cooler weather is on its way! Last night I went to my friends house for a bit. We had a great chat as we listened to the thunder roll! We both enjoy a good thunderstorm.

Once I got home from my friends house, I was on the phone for quite a while. I talked to my uncle, aunt, a friend, and one of my bonus moms. I was definitely talked out by the time I went to bed. I decided with the help of one of my friends that I will buy a ring every year on my mom‘s birthday. My mom loved rings and buying a ring will be a great/happy way to remember her

Tonight at 8pm is our virtual open house for school! Thank goodness I can have a nice top on and comfy bottoms. As soon as the open house is over I will be crawling into bed.

Last night my friend and her doggies came over. We had a cocktail and a great chat. She and her doggies are amazing! She has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly and has never once judged me! That’s a true friend right there!

Today is a bittersweet day. If my mom was still alive she would be 67! I miss her everyday, however, I am so thankful she is no longer suffering! I am definitely going to have a toast to her this evening! Happy heavenly birthday mom! It is also Maria Montessori’s birthday! Maria, thank you for designing an amazing method for teaching children! Montessori education is so amazing!

Moving forward I am going to do my best to observe and not absorb especially when it comes to certain work related issues.

Monday August 30, 2021

I can’t believe tomorrow is the last day of August! I’m currently chilling at my friends place with her doggies. One of her doggies is snoring and it’s the cutest sound! Chilling at her place is the best way to unwind after the school day.

I have to finish a slide show presentation this afternoon and send it to my boss for approval. I’ve worked so hard on it! I really hope she approves it. It’s been ages since I had to make a PowerPoint.

I’m continuing to pray for all those who were affected by Ida. Watching the news these days is definitely gut wrenching on so many levels.

I ordered an anxiety ring and it came in the mail today. I am currently wearing it and I’m fiddling around with it. I’m really hopeful that it helps ease my anxiety. It has excellent reviews! I will definitely review it once I have worn it for a few days.

Come back tomorrow for another post.

Sunday August 29, 2021

Happy Sunday! I slept great last night! Thank goodness because I needed a good nights sleep! My house smells so amazing right now. I just took out a breakfast casserole from my oven. This particular casserole has mushrooms, eggs, and white cheddar cheese. I used crescent rolls as the base. This is going to be my lunch for the upcoming week. I was planning on also making baked oatmeal but, I ran out of eggs and don’t feel like going to the store. Baked oatmeal will have to wait until next weekend.

I am praying for all my friends in Louisiana. My heart breaks for them!

Today my plan is to lay low, relax, read, craft, and do some laundry. I was supposed to go to an event this afternoon but, I have decided not to go. These days I am just enjoying being a homebody and only going places I need to go.

Come back tomorrow for another post.

Saturday August 28, 2021

Happy Saturday! Early this morning I went to the farmers market. I haven’t been in a few weeks, so it was nice to go and get some produce and other items. It was quite pleasant outside. My friend and I floated in the pool and I just got back from buying a new float and from the grocery store. Of course I forgot something I needed so, I will head back out shortly to get that one item. I always forget at least one thing when I go to the store.

It definitely looks like it may rain this afternoon. I love a good rainstorm. My apartment complex is known to lose power when it’s raining so I’m going to charge up my back up chargers as well as my generator to have on hand. Hopefully, we don’t loose power. Always better to be prepared!

I am looking forward to reading, crafting, and working on a slideshow/video this afternoon. The slideshow/video is for an upcoming virtual open house for my school.

Well, my stomach is rumbling, so, I am going to go eat some lunch. Come back tomorrow for another post.

Thursday August 26, 2021

Last night I was sitting on my couch and I got a text message. I looked to see who it was from. When I saw it was from my boss I instantly got a pit in my stomach. I was thinking back to how the day went and if anything out of the ordinary happened. I proceeded to take a deep breath and read the text. I instantly burst out laughing! I responded to her with the laughing crying emoji! This morning she said to me…did you appreciate my text? I told her to be honest at first I freaked out, but once I read it I really appreciated it. I really am liking the new head of my school.

I slept like a rock for about 4 hours last night! I’m still tired but am definitely not feeling sloth like.

On my way home from work today I was behind someone who had their right directional on. Since their right directional was on I assumed they were going to turn right nope they turned left. All I could do was laugh and shake my head.

It’s international dog day. I personally do not have my own dogs however, my friend has two amazing doggies so I am celebrating them today!

Come back tomorrow for another post!
