Question of the Day: June 10, 2021

Where do you find peace?

I find peace when I am living in the present moment, not thinking about the past or the future. I also find peace when I am hanging out with my friends and their amazing dogs. When I am floating in a pool while listening to the sounds of nature around me (especially at my second home…NH). Finally, I find peace when I sink my toes in the sand while watching and listening to the waves crashing at the beach.

Question of the Day: June 8, 2021

Yesterday, was an awesome day for me. I did an awesome yoga flow, a killer ab workout, I made a ton of roasted veggies to munch on throughout the week, I finished a daily mantra album I have been working on, and I hung out and had cocktails with my friends and some amazing doggies! It was a great first day of my summer vacation. Today, I must start packing for my trip. Anyone who knows me, knows I have a serious method for packing. I have helped many people pack suitcases and duffle bags. On to the question of the day.

What music do you listen to when you are feeling down?

Oh, I love music. However, it really depends on why I am feeling down. These are my go to songs when I am just feeling blah or down. I have a playlist of just these songs. I sometimes just play this playlist on a loop. If you are not familiar with some of these songs I highly suggest you listen to them.

Question of the Day: June 7, 2021

It is the first official day of my summer break! Time to bust out one of my favorite hashtag #teacheronsummerbreak. Today, I am allowing myself to be lazy! I plan to cook, craft, do some yoga, and read. If all goes well one of the projects I have been working on for quite some time will be complete. On to the question of the day!

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in the the last year?

What a thought provoking question! I would have to say that the most important lesson I learned this past year is that trusting myself is more important than trusting anyone else.

Question of the Day: June 5, 2021

How have you sabotaged yourself in the past five years?

Oh, what a really good thought provoking question! Over the past five years I have spent way too much time obsessing/worrying about things/situations I had absolutely no control over. I am mad at myself for doing this. However, the fact that I can admit that I did in fact sabotage myself is helping me not to obsess/worry about things today.

Question of the Day: June 3, 2021

I just wrapped up my 13th year of teaching! What a year it has been! I am looking forward to catching up on some much needed sleep in the coming weeks! On to the question of the day!

In what way are you your own worst enemy?

I was wondering when this question would resurface! I am my own worst enemy when I am not being careful. When I am not being careful I can easily become a very obsessive thinker. When this happens it leads me on a downward spiral of negative thoughts…which is NEVER a good thing. I am training my mind to stop having negative thoughts and only focus on the positive ones. I know this takes time and I am slowly learning to let my negative thoughts float away before they smother me.
